This more fitted dress, inspired by those worn by author Charlotte Brontë, is part of our organic cotton drill collection which is designed to be artfully rumpled with a soft hand feel and vintage workwear aesthetic.

The Novelist dress features a slimmer body, bust darts, more fitted sleeves, ruffle at the neck and cuff with cotton binding detail, gathered skirt with pockets and keyhole fastening at the back neck.

Each garment is individually hand dyed with low impact dyes, manufactured in the UK and hand finished in Margate.  Due to the nature of the hand dyed process colours may vary or appear uneven which we feel is part of the unique appeal.

This garment is sized as follows:

Waist seam - 46cm from high point shoulder

Length - 124cm

Our collection is designed for comfort and versatility with a relaxed fit so if you select your regular size you can expect it to be loosely fitting. We offer sizes from XS to L across the Womens and Menswear styles although not all sizes are offered in all styles.
